Anderson Thanksgiving

There were 35 of us at the "Isbell" (Danny's Mother's side of the family) Thanksgiving table. Everyone had a fun time and of course we all left wishing we had not eaten so much.

Danny and his cousin, Venius on Turkey duty!

Lots of yummy food and pretty tables with brown table cloths and Amy's centerpieces.

Thanksgiving Center Piece

The Anderson's are getting together with Danny's Mom's side of the family for Thanksgiving. Amy put together the event and made center pieces for the table. The sticks are from her 5 acres, Kyndal gathered up the acorns from the play ground at school (they call her Squirrel), the leaves from Wal Mart, and the globes were bought in 1995 and have been used in several weddings and/or rehearsal dinners - total cost was $2.00 plus hot glue (lots of it) for the center piece. We are thankful for Amy's party planning ability. She plans the parties and the rest of us fall in line.... Amanda and I have chopped veggies, made cookies (Bethany and Megan helped with the cookies - see picture of cookies), made a cake, made potato casseroles, and I am glad the day has ended. My wish for all of you is that you are surrounded by people who love you and care for you. I am thankful for our family and send love and Thanksgiving wishes to all of you. ~diane~

Happy Thanksgiving....

This is for Diane!!!

Prince...Doesn't he look thrilled?

JayCee...the new edition
JayCee doing what he does best...looking cute

The Chapman's have a new edition to their family. Justin has had a puppy. How did this happen? Well, his best friend's dog had puppies. Justin and his girlfriend decided they needed a puppy. They brought the puppy over to our house and it was all over. So now we have new puppy name "Jaycee" He is cute and a lot of fun. Gerald I promise he will only poop in our yard as we have a fenced in yard and we don't allow our dogs to wander in other people's yards. : )Our older dog "Prince" is not too fond of the puppy but Prince has been very nice thus far. Just a few growls but no snapping yet! As I stated earlier this is suppose to be Justin and his girlfriends dog so I had to make it clear if they ever break up the dog is our dog. Oh the drama of teenagers.
Okay Diane I will try to post more. : ) Okay everybody let's try to post on our family wall. Post your old news, new news, boring news, exciting news, just post some news...please, pretty please.

Are you there???

Sometimes writing on this blog seems like talking to yourself. No one answers, but then they say if you start answering yourself, you are in trouble. I am not going to start answering (commenting) myself.

Hope and Overdue library books......

I read this today on the Internet and couldn't help but feel a little sparkle of hope for this world.... I don't know if I would go to the extreme this person did, but I would like to think that I would be that honest.... (At least return the books). Hmmmmmmmm, better start checking my books and see who I need to return a book to... :o) How about you? ~diane~
Overdue library books returned half century later
A high school librarian in Phoenix says a former student at the school returned two overdue books checked out 51 years ago along with a $1,000 money order to cover the fines.
Camelback High School librarian Georgette Bordine says the two Audubon Society books checked out in 1959 and the money order were sent by someone who wanted to remain anonymous.
Bordine says the letter explained that the borrower's family moved to another state and the books were mistakenly packed.
The letter said the money order was to cover fines of 2 cents per day for each book. That would total about $745. The letter says the extra money was added in case the rates had changed.
Bordine says the money will buy more books, and the overdue books will be returned to the shelves.
