~Gerald ~ Hayden was naming them. I think one's name is Barney.
~Britanie~ They are Dora, Boots, Barney, Diego.
~Gerald~ Well, no wonder the other three are mad at me, I only knew one was called Barney. I named the other three Fried, Broiled, and BBQ'd. Guess they wanted to be called by their real names...............oh, and their last name is Cheeekins. Hayden told me so.

Playing in the snow.....

As you know we were sad that we missed the BIG SNOW in Oklahoma, but there was a little in Texas and the kids made the most of it.
These two sad little bowls were Shai's idea to "catch" the snow on Christmas Eve and have snow ice cream. The wind was too strong and the bowls stayed upside down and no snow was caught! Hey, she tried! --- The snow pictures are in Wanda's yard. They live about 15 minutes from Amanda and got much more snow than Amanda did.

Mark and Wanda's for dinner....

After Santa and waiting for the snow and ice to clear off of the roads, we all went to Wanda's beautiful house for Christmas dinner. Wanda had a wonderful dinner of ham, turkey, potatoes, dressing, green bean casserole, curry corn, aspagus, salad, dips, candy, pies, and more. Thank you, Wanda! Wanda hard at work!

Biscuits and Gravy - yummy

The night before Christmas Eve, Shai told us Beverly had taught her how to make Sausage Gravy with Biscuits....and she wanted to make us some. Sooooooooooooo, who are we to say NO???? ---- Christmas Eve morning Shai got up and made the gravy and biscuits and it was so good! Wish you could have all been there.... Biscuits - Smart girl, she opens the can. Her Grandmom never could make homemade biscuits and got all kinds of ridicule for trying. Shai saved herself from that frustration!!!!!
Working hard at it!
So Proud (and so is Grandmom)!

Christmas pictures coming soon.....

Shai and Nykia

Grandmom diane got her new camera and took pictures. I need to read the instructions and get better with it, but anything is better than my old camera. Shai has taken an interest in photography and wanted to take a picture of this old school house that is about to fall down. I took her and her cousin, Nykia to town one day and we stopped for a photo session. They were so cute and very into the pictures. These girls have grown up together and I can't believe we spent the time in town buying make up instead of baby dolls!!!! ~diane~

Deer Hunting....

Danny got home from the business trip on Thursday, Dec. 17th, and off we went to Lone Wolf to go deer hunting. Stephen, Danny, and Rob hunted the week after Thanksgiving. Stephen got a buck, but Danny and Rob didn't have any luck. The weekend of the 18th was a special doe hunting time. Rob, Stephen, and Danny decided to try their luck once again. Stephen brought his family and some friends with him. They stayed out in the woods in the very primitive cabin. The pictures are of them heading out on the 4 wheelers. They had a fun time. Danny, Rob, Diane, and Shai roughed it at Uncle Billie's house. :o)

Danny grinning after getting his doe....

Kyndal and Rylan's Christmas Programs

We are backing up a little.... Danny had to go to Hobbs, New Mexico on a business trip on December 13th. That left Diane free to go to Amy's and help her get ready for Christmas... AND I got to go to Kyndal and Rylan's school programs. They were absolutely adorable. Rylan was a toy clown and Kydal was an elf. --- Right after the picture of me hugging the toy clown, Amy and I were walking to her car and I tripped on the broken sidewalk and fell very hard. I either cracked or broke a rib or bruised my side because it is 12 days later and I am still feeling it. The fact that I now have a cough with some kind of crud does not help either (Danny also has it). I am sure this too shall pass and I am so glad I got to see the programs.... (and lived to tell about it - :o) ~diane~

Snow in Oklahoma and we are in TEXAS!!!

We spent Christmas in Texas and missed most of the snow.... That's right, we lived in Texas 17 years and then moved home to Oklahoma and the first white Christmas in FOREVER, and we miss it!!!! We came home to big drifts in our yard and ice and snow on the side streets. The snowman was built by Danny's cousin, Johnathan who lives in Oklahoma City. I don't build snowmen without children around, so decided to "borrow" his.... I have more pictures to share as soon as I can get them from my computer to a program that will let me add them here.... ~diane~
...and here are the pictures of the snow at our house...
(Wanda gave me the snowman for Christmas - he is now on my wall.)
