Justin graduated from the Air Force Basic Training! Enjoyed visiting with Justin, Dad, and Mike. Could not have asked for a better birthday present! Justin is off to Port Hueneme, CA. His job assignment is vehicle maintenance. Only one question remains: Where will Justin be stationed?

I was involved in an Auction at the Franklin Reunion.

I wanted the quilt rack hanger, but DID I get it????

NOoooooooooooooooooooo - my BROTHER outbid me!!!

I tried to steal it anyway, but it did not happen. 

I believe he still has it on his wall at home.

Sigh..........maybe I will outbid him this year?????

We had 23 adults and 13 children in attendance last year. We had a great time at the lake, we played bingo, Wanda gave us special gifts, Marvin made t-shirts, and above all we enjoyed being together once again. It had been a long time since we had a family gathering. Thank you Wanda for working so hard getting the reunion planned. We did miss all of you who didn't make it, and we are hoping you will make an effort to attend this year. For more information and photos to refresh your memory, go to the beginning of this blog.

Check in time is 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 29.

Check out time is 1:00 on Sunday, August 1.

All rentals have a kitchen with a stove, oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, dishes, cooking utensils, and are approximately a 1 to 5 minute walk from the lake.

In addition all properties have, AC and heat, linens, shower or bath combo, color tv w/satellite dish, and remember all cabins are non smoking facilities.

Bring your boats, fishing gear, beach toys, bathing suits, beach towels, fishing gear, and what ever else you can't live without for 3 days.

There will be a pot luck on Thursday night in Wanda's cabin. Watch this blog/or your email for more information on this. Amy is in charge of the food and with Wanda's help, she is making plans for our meals. There will be 2 meals planned for Friday and Saturday. The brunch will be served later in the morning to give late sleepers and fishing people time to get there. :o) If you need coffee and/or a bite to eat before then, please stock your cabin with those items.

We will tear the fishing trophy away from Medrith, who has had it since the 1980's (I think) and put it back up for grabs. Whoever catches the biggest fish (by weight) wins the trophy. There will be a cash pot and it will go to the winner also. The money (amount to be agreed on when we all get there) must be paid before you go on the lake.... Wanda has rented a boat on Saturday and Danny, Stephen, and Chris have a boat. I know for sure 3 of the 4 boats will be out on the lake e-a-r-l-y..... and I am guessing Chris will join them. :o)

An Auction is planned, so don't forget to round up a few items for this. If you would like to have an item, bring it. Your choice. All items accepted and hopefully all items will be bid on. The money from the auction will go to whatever the group wants it to. Maybe Sunday lunch?

Put on your smiling faces and get your stuff together and plan to meet the family there.

I GOT THE JOB!!!

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to share with all of you I GOT THE JOB!!! I applied for a new position still with the same school system and I found out Wednesday I GOT THE JOB! I will be the new Beginning Teacher Support Coordinator for Cumberland County Schools. I will meet with my new supervisor on Tuesday, July 6th to find out more information. I was asked not to announce it to the public until then however I am able to share with my family. I am so excited I just had to share!!!! I GOT THE JOB!!! I GOT THE JOB!!! :0) :0)
